Girl Shot Put
Alesha Martin has been a familiar name in MIL Track and Field. In 2010 Alesha was a star of the MIL Junior Varsity Championships. She was a gold medalist in the 100 meter hurdles and shot put. She also got silver medals in the high jump, and 300 meter hurdles. In the  last three meets she has been throwing the shot further and further. The M.I.L gold also came with a new personal record, putting her in great shape for the state championships. Both Christina from Maui High and Kalesita threw automatic qualifications for state (Alesha threw over four and a half feet over the auto standard).

Maui High senior Totauhelotu Lotulelei had a 2 foot 3 inch increase from his old personal record to get the gold. Not far behind was Baldwin's Pasoni Tasini. Tasini got the gold in the discus and has signed to the University of Utah. Maui should have a great showing at state in the trows.
